Maelis Carraro is the Managing Director of Catalyst Fund, a global accelerator for inclusive fintech startups in emerging markets, supported by JP Morgan Chase & Co and UK aid. The fund invested in over 37 early-stage startups creating innovative and affordable solutions for underserved populations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Maelis spent her career in the financial and development sector, working alongside fintech startups, investors, banks, and donors to pioneer tech-enabled solutions across emerging markets.
Previously, she worked at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), the OECD, Grameen Bank, and impact fund-Global Partnerships, supporting impact investing strategies and product innovation in the microfinance sector. She also co-founded RemitMas, a cross-border remittances startup helping Latino immigrants save in their home countries.
