Fleur is the Head of Communications at Africa50, a pan-African investment platform whose mandate is to help bridge Africa’s infrastructure funding gap. In addition to her communications role, Fleur is also in charge of the implementation of Africa50’s first Innovation Challenge, which aims at crowdsourcing ICT solutions to help increase reliable and affordable internet connectivity in under-served areas in Africa.
She is a communications professional with global experience in Public Relations, Strategic Brand Management and Stakeholder Engagement, who served in a wide variety of sectors, including development finance, corporate banking, telecoms, FMCGs and agroindustry.
Before Africa50, Fleur served as Manager, Branding and Communications at Afreximbank, overseeing the Bank’s media relations and brand development activities in several countries across Africa and beyond. She was also Head of the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire, prior to that, she served as the Director of Resources at United Bank for Africa in Côte d’Ivoire for over 5 years, leading the Human Capital, Communications and Corporate Services Departments. She started her career in South Africa, as Public Relations Manager for Francophone Africa at ZK Public Relations where she was handling Celtel’s PR communications across seven countries. Fleur holds a master’s degree in international Trade from the European Graduate School of Commerce of La Rochelle, France; a Bachelor of Arts in International Trade from the University of Plymouth, UK; and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
